Holder had been shot and some strange engineer had been tinkering away at his chassis trying to bring him back online. The droid engineer did good work, but had not been successful at working their way through the more idiosyncratic bits of the electronic hodgepodge that made Holder the unique relic he was. Partitions of his personalities remained dormant and corrupted while a new one sat spinning in the data drives that would become his consciousness.

That would be the ethos to weave itself through his new mind, but what many did not realize is that simple little message-that string of seemingly unimportant miscellanea- would change what Holder was to those who had known him. The Antarian Rangers that had ripped him from his Confederate motives had done so with incredible force and a great amount of luck, but in the years since the Clone Wars had become little more than a propoganda piece hiding in the history books Holder had become something new. Holder was steward to more than just the books hiding in that reliquary on Agathon, he was a time capsule for the men and women of that Antarian Chapter and its successor, the Protectorate. However, it was time to take all of that and become something more.

From a remote location a signal tunneled its way through the subspace frequencies of hyperspace communications to find the dormant body of Holder huddled in the guild hall of The Protectorate in Agathon.

No response. The physical damage from the attack of Erasmus Currian was keeping Holder's body in a coma while the systems behind his personality matrix spun to life. The droid engineer, Fennla, had been able to work around the damage briefly when Holder was first activated during repairs, but that had prompted a strange cycle of Holder waking up only for his systems to recognize the fatal damage, shut the body down, ignore the damage, and repeat.

Holder's blank red eyes flickered to life, but time Holder did not enter the cycle of life and death. Instead, the mind ignored the need for a functioning body as the repurposed droid sat up from his place despite great difficulty and great pain. The droid's body was parapalegic thanks to the attempts to repair him earlier, but that was all the man on the other side of the codes needed. As Holder's body failed again, collapsing into a hunk of scrap metal surrounding an active brain, the mysterious hijacker realized he would have to be creative if he was to steal Holder away from Agathon.

With the help of Holder's natural place in the network of droids that worked to keep Agathon up and running, the man behind the veil of hyperspace communications used stolen commands from Holder's dossier to summon a pair of Agathon Steward droids to the Protectorate Guild Hall. Two sun scorched balls floated through the air, covered in a half dozen glass eyes that kept watch for anyone that would dare upset Holder's removal from the masquerade that was the town. With their fiddling arms, the two meddlesome droids lifted holder and began to take him to his last stop on Dantooine before hitting the space lanes yet again, the stolen and mysterious starship of a missing Jacobus Finn.

Jacobus Finn had long been a part of a group known as the Protectorate, an organization built on the purpose of making a better place for those who called to the Force from an otherwise meager and fragile existence. For most of his life Jacobus Finn had hidden himself and his ability, constantly living in a state of paranoia and defense. There was constantly a push to be ready to fight and kill to keep his life, his secrets, his friends, and his city safe from the hands and eyes that would see it all burnt on a pyre for heresy's sake. Darkness and light remained in balance for Jacobus Finn, but as Holder moved through Agathon the city was no longer a monolith to those tenets.

In the Jedi vagabond's absence, Agathon had become something more than a reliquary masquerading as a farming town. Agathon had learned new life and was no longer silent on its hill. Rather laughter and music played themselves against the otherwise savage airs of Dantooine. Agathon had become the better world Jacobus Finn had sought to build, but in those moments it was apparent it was a world he was never meant to call his own. Holder, Jacobus Finn, and many of the old triggerfingers, briggands, and swordsmen of the Old Protectorate would tarnish that life more than any Dark Purge. That is why it was time for the droid to leave.

The Steward Droids offered one last look at the town for Holder and the man hiding behind his eyes before depositing Holder in the Starside Tramp and plugging the damaged Holder into its equally enigmatic systems. From Dantooine and into a mysterious hyperspace jump, Holder had no idea where he was going but the man on the other side of his instructions had plans for the good work guided by the Force to continue elsewhere. Agathon did not need the remains of an Old Protectorate, but the wars of Light and Dark raged in other theaters and Holder's Antarian origins were needed.

"Dantooine is a world on a frontier, but no stranger to war. Nestled in the Rielig Steppes is the quaint city of Agathon. Founded by those seeking to preserve the ways of the Old Republic, the city has evolved into a portrait of life before the Dark Times."

That is what plays in the civic announcements for Dantooine Settlement. Agathon is indeed a city that has evolved into a portrait of life before the Dark Times, but some living in the Light can not ignore the Dark Times beyond that city's borders. The Force has found a home in Agathon, but its will is calling to those from across the Galaxy to prevent the Light's demise.

Holder was a pawn in that call's means and he would serve as an instrument to keep the candles lit.
