Re: It was a long night

Goodish news was that the bottom line of the finances for the station have improved. Baddish news was that they were still very much in the red.

Megan went on to explain that she had the casino open on a limited staff basis through the week and that was helping, especially with the sales of the drinks. Eti had nodded, as there was little reason to expect major trouble except during a sponsored tournament, extra staff, such as herself. would not be scheduled. The station would be saving on their pay.

The petite Zeltron had poked at her blue datapad, sighing at whatever it told her, then informed them that the wedding was postponed again. This time with no reschedule date. Eti made a light joke about needing to capture the MIA groom, and offered a net, which garnered an icy expression from her friend before it fell into a weary sigh. The Nautolan did not feel that the ire was truly directed at her so just smiled back gently. She was proud, instead, that Megan had not dissolved into tears this time, and was able to keep the meeting going.

The expected client abut the animal transport contract was a no show, and Aimi volunteered to try and contact them to set up another meeting.

The next big thing they talked about was a possible job to 'acquire' enough bacta to fill the Bounty's holds, though Jenn pointed out filling the hold of a YT would be easier and less likely to get them caught doing the acquiring. They would also need load lifters and containers to hold the oozy stuff. They also had a small discussion about what concentrations were more valuable. Megan asked Jenn to be on the committee to plan that action as it looked to be complicated. Eti volunteered to help as well, which earned her a sigh from Par, she was not sure if the sigh was because it looked to be a dangerous mission, or if it looked to be a dangerous mission with Darrando leading it? Jadrena volunteered to help with any code alterations needed for the Bounty if they ended up using that ship, and Venatus offered to be security.

Immediately though, they still had to keep something going on the station, and here the group got silly.

The usual quick activities were trotted out, then food got involved. They went from shooting matches and fight nights, to nugget tossing and cake wrestling. The ideas flew fast, easy and with laughter, but a plan was eventually formed to offer a series of team based contests that merged normal events with food, especially cake and nuggets. There would be an entrance fee, and the grand prize would be Megan's Cake for life while visiting Port Jato. Whose life it was not determined. Aimi and Megan would hash out those details and they expected to hold this in a few days.

In all the meeting ended on lighter, more hopeful note than it had in the past few weeks.

------
((While I mentioned above that the casino has been operating, there has been no actual event for such as yet.

The contest mentioned above will occur this coming Sunday the 8th at usual Jato time of 9pm ET. I always recommend showing up by 8:30pm ET to set up, socialize, and get briefed. Please watch the events listing in the forums for more details, or tune into the EiF Discord, the roleplay-ooc channel.

The Great Bacta Heist is looking to be a multi day/week event, more details will come as things are firmed out.

The Megafisno wedding will happen when RL cooperates and Megan can pin down her groom. No date has been set at this time. (Wonders if groom hunting should be an event too?)

Eti reflected on the evening as the shuttle sailed it's way towards Theed. She was in the window seat, next to Ren, Par on the aisle. Layers of protection, the thought made her smile. In fact she had felt safe most the night, even arriving later, and separately from her two guardians. The only blip had come near the end of the night, and proved that one could feel too safe. Yet there had not been a threat, or even any interaction between her and Elijah, he had simply appeared near the end and watched.

For the most part though, she had fun at the little series of games that Jenn and Aimi had set up for Megan. The first game was one she had practiced with Kay the night before, nugget tossing.

Ren and Par, herself and Darrando, Vennie and Alysheba, Megan and Alifisno, were the teams. The pairs stood part about ten paces, and not Eti paces either, in two rows facing each other. Then they took turns tossing a nugget to each other. Ren just missed his, tossed by Par. Her toss to Rando was easily caught. Vennie tossed to Alyshba who seemed afraid of it and missed. Megan just missed the nugget tossed at her by Alifisno, even though she did a dive into the grass to catch it.

The return throws went better for everyone. Par caught his, tossed by Ren, with a jump, Rando tossed her a nugget and she caught it also with a small jump. Alysheba did a line drive into Vennie's mouth, and Al easily caught the one sent to him by Megan. They only went one round with this, so she and Rando won that contest.

Next was the limoncello gelatin nuna fights. She was dressed nice, Darrando was dressed nice, they both decided they would rather watch. Par and Ren though stripped off nonessentials and waded right into the pool of jello. Their competition was Cari and Jadrena. Ren and Jadrena were carrying Par and Cari respectively. The two men had height and weight to their advantage, and though the women tried hard, they were eventually dumped into the sweet, sticky stuff.

Next round was between Vennie and Alysheba, after he spent a very long time coaxing her into playing the game, and Alifisno and Megan. The men carrying the women. This round was much shorter and Alysheba's fall into the pool splashed gelatin everywhere. The brunette was most definitely not amused by this, or Venatus' apologies.

This put the last round at Ren and Par, against Alifisno and Megan. Par and Megan up top. This round lasted longer than the one before it, but eventually Megan and Al were toppled. Megan upon spluttering up from the depths took handfuls of the goop to chase Jenn and Aimi around with. Ren and Par won that event.

After that was the space dog eating contest. She stepped up to the table with a little urging from Rando, taking a place next to Par, with Ren on the end. Ren dropped out after three, Par lasted four, and she was able to keep five down, but declined the offer to try and make a record. Five of the space dogs was already more than she wanted to handle. Eti won that game.

Next was boxing. Jenn was the referee, Aimi barely watched from her side of the ring, clearly uncomfortable with the violence. Eti sat close to Par and Ren this time, using them to help her shield from it as she tamped down her own ability to sense. This was some she did not do well, but she did need to stay alert in case of injuries. Darrando's huurton had made her way into the area by then and Eti spent plenty of time petting the happy animal.

The first bout was between Ghaal and Jadrena. The young Chiss lasted longer against the Ithorian than Eti thought she would. Ren and Darrando pointed out some of the ways she was doing so, though Eti agreed that diplomacy first was usually best in a real situation. Ghaal won the match and as usual declined help. She did treat Jadrena, then set her off to rest on a bench. The second bout was Ghaal verses Cari. At first it looked like he would best the redhead too, but Cari dug in and got a couple lucky hits to win the match. Cari was declared the winner of the boxing.

The last event was cake eating this time she encouraged Rando to enter, not that he lasted long, the confection was too sweet and chocolatey for him. He managed a slice and a half before bowing out. Cari sat down next to her, and they watched Jadrena beat Jenn in the cake eating. By then most everyone was tired, including the Nautolan and she, still feeling safe in the surrounding of friends neglected to look around until every one adjourned back to the front of the room.

She saw him then, standing against the wall, watching the prizes being handed out. He neither approached anyone, or reacted during the short ceremony, she did not dare stretch herself back out to see if he was real. She was handed her two two trophies, turned to say something to Rando, then by the time she looked back, he was gone. This time she did let her empathy free, not that she could sense his emotions anyway when he was shielded, nor did she try to find him. Instead she looked to Ren who offered reassurances before shooing her and Par to the lift.

Eti watched the Weequay named Hondo as he stood just inside the conference room to discuss his proposal. He wanted them to transport more creatures from one unnamed place to another, for 30% of the profit of their sale.

Not only did these animals range in size up to a rancor, but the were genetically modified and could not be tranquilized. And their food was live too, whatever that was. At least they will be caged. Eti thanked him for allowing them 40% of the sale and Hondo countered with 35%. She just smiled and nodded, knowing not to push the issue.

Hondo was not willing to tell them where the animals were, or the destination, but he promised to send Aimi a message later. He also resisted Dino's efforts to pull Jato's cut up. Aimi told them that she would contact two of their pilots to see which would be available to fly the ship. Eti presumed they take the Bounty, the fact that the Y-8 might be better had not yet occurred to her.

Once he left they discussed other things, how well the games did the week before, and what else could they do?

Eti brought up once again the thought of a date auction. Then Aimi added why not a date basket? Which ever basket was won by the bidder, they also got a date with the person that created the basket. This was agreeable with those present so Aimi said she would discuss it with Megan as a future event as they would need time to figure who would be willing to make up baskets, and then to advertise it.

The meeting was short, things seemed to be on people's minds and it seemed everyone left right away.

The station was nearly deserted, almost eerily so for the night it was. As with any sentients, the lack of true information, or a proper rumor, led to speculation. Some of it rather wild and getting wilder as glasses were lifted.

"Meebe Space Gays got'em!" Grizzled man shouts.
Younger man looks puzzled. "What the hell is a space gay?"
Waves his hand in the air. "Y'know them really happy, lovey folk, kinda purple, or pink."
"Zeltrons? What would Zeltrons do with the Jato mercs?" The younger man snorts and eyes the older man.
"How should I know? None of 'em ever tried to abduct me! Sneaky, happy people, always having a party I heard!" Pounds the bar with a fist.
"You are cracked old man." Shakes his head and turns his back.
Hunching over his drink and muttering "Prolly havin' a real good time I bet."

-----

((There is another story line that clipped into the Port Jato activities, so Hondo and his critters will just have to wait a bit.

Eti repacked her travel bag exchanging things that would be good for Glee Anselm, for stuff better suited to camping on land. Plans changed and this was one of them. Not that she was complaining, looking over to where Ren was napping yet again, there was time for adventure and time for precious things, this was time for precious things.

She sealed her pack then stepped quietly over to the sleeping man, reaching out to stroke a strand of hair from his face. Eti did not miss the split second of tension, the near flash of movement before his awareness settled back to resting. Apparently she was getting better at the silent bit, or he was still worse for wear and lying about it. Par was downstairs, she could hear him talking to Kay and Caarlah, not the words just the tenor of his voice. Par tended to recover the swiftest of them, but then the Force had a different use for him. Different lessons to learn and to teach.

Ren had fully relaxed again under her fingers so she leaned over to kiss his forehead. It was easier for her to approach him when he seemed... not unaware... unguarded. When he was unguarded, or when he invited her close, she could not yet get past her wariness or fears. Ren would never want to harm her, she understood that, nor did he bear any physical resemblance of her birth father. Nor did her birth father ever strike her except the once, he had other ways to hurt her. The only thing similar was the feel of power, but where one man controlled his, the other resented it greatly.

No, she did not fear her Fisherman in that way at all. Her fears were ones of loss, and often jealousy stemming from the other fear. Pelistra had dug deep to create wounds in her soul that were not healing swiftly, but the man under her fingers promised he would not give up. Eti believed him for all of the awkwardness the conversation had been he managed to project the strength of his conviction. Still she doubted he would ever have to worry that she could be as demonstrative as Par.

This vacation was to let them truly rest and recover fully, to find balance once more within themselves and each other. Since returning from Kessel, they had not had that time. Understandably Ren vanished right away to reassure his wife, other children, and she suspected, his contacts that he was not only alive, but whole. They had jumped back into a meeting about the mission for Hondo that was delayed. Then the tall blond was called away again for several days only returning in time to go on the actual mission.

That mission could have ended in disaster, they had no real idea of the nature of the animals loaded onto Or'Dino's ship The Scorned Woman, or even how many there were. Her task was to keep the creatures calm. She had spent the day singing, using her talents to keep another sort of dangerous creatures calm, so boarding the ship once it had been loaded found her already tired.

Ren and Par, never at their best in space were valiant in their efforts to help her. Both men feeding her the calm needed to spread out to the animals and the power to do it. Despite that she started to flag and the animals became more restless due to repeated jumps into, and dumps out of, hyperspace. Her Fisherman, also affected, just began to pool everything he had for her, but it was too late. Voice nearly gone, control lost, they had to leave the hold as the creatures escaped their containers.

Someone yanked Eti out as what was later identified as poisonous Jax headed straight for her, Par dragged Ren out just before something called borgles flew at them, Mina, Fou, and Jeil dashed out ahead oversized mites, and some other thing Eti never did get a look at slammed the hatch door. A few of the animals started at each other so a concussion grenade was tossed into the hold by Ghaal in the hopes it would stun them enough to be recaged. A hope that was discarded quickly after several of them stirred after a few moments.

Eventually though they landed the ship, unloaded all the critters then headed home. Mina had collected the payment, Dino left Fou to continue the flight home. Jeil, Anishor, Ghaal were somewhere in the ship, Ren and Par were dealing with space illness now that they could let themselves be affected. Eti and Rando had spent the trip home talking.

Eti smiled gently at the sleeping man that had claimed her as his student then as daughter before turning to pick up her pack. They were going camping, there would be swimming and fishing, exploring, and rest. In the back of her mind she knew that there was still to be another meeting for the Jato mercs, and then a planned fight bout, but for the next few days the Nautolan hoped only for a bit of peace.

If Par was being honest, he barely remembered the meeting. He knew who was there, roughly what it was about and where it was, but he was more focused on his upcoming vacation with his best friend and their daughter.

Dino, Aimi, Mina, Fou, Abi and Aeryo had shown up at the meeting that was at the Jax. They discussed the previous job, the upcoming Beach Brawl event and possible future events, like Casino Night and Date Auction. Par, of course, offered himself knowing he’d give his credstick to Ren to buy him so he’d help out but be with his friend and not someone he didn’t know.

He had zoned out, waiting for word from his friend that he was awake and next thing he knew, the meeting was wrapping up. It was quick and incredibly uneventful.

Caarlah looked on in confusion at the fighting. She didn’t understand it, she didn’t know there was an event on the beach that evening. She and Kay had gone down to the beach to read, a ‘date’. The beach had been done up but she was none-the-wiser, rarely out and about as it were. They were reading when a male Nautolan approached. He said something about a ‘fight night’ and seemed very into it. She did not understand.

Many unknown peoples came about for this… ‘fight night’. A Chiss that may have been called ‘Mina’, an old man with purple hair that the loud Nautolan called ‘Dino’, a Zeltron that Kay politely referred to as ‘Miss Aimantia’, a man with strange fur on his face- Loud nautolan called him ‘fancy’. There was a human male and female further down, the male went on to fight also. She didn’t realise what she handed credits over for was to fight.

They put their book down when this Nautolan- Aeryo was it? Was called to the circle of flames with this purple haired man- Dino. She did not like watching them attack each other. The loud nautolan was victorious, yelling much. It made her uncomfortable. Not as uncomfortable as when she was informed she would be fighting Kay. She did not want to hurt Kay, he did not want to hurt her, so they requested grappling instead of painful attacking.

It was much fun for her. Kay ultimately won by picking her up and throwing her into the ocean, but she had no ill thoughts, in fact it made her like him more. The wet shorts were not fun.

The chiss- Mina, was fighting the other human male… Vennie? Was that what they called him? She was distracted at the time. Kay had bought her a drink and her shorts were most uncomfortable. This Vennie did not last long, for Kay barely had time to cover her as she changed into his spare dry shorts before he was called back.

He was up against the angry nautolan, and she was frightened. She covered her eyes for the fight, not wanting to see him hurt, but hurt he got. Angry nautolan yelled a lot and seemingly broke Kay’s nose. She did not care if it was against the rules, she ran to Kay the minute he was down. He had pride, she knew, but he should let people care when he’s hurt. The bleeding eventually stopped and angry nautolan was against chiss Mina.

She kept more of an eye on Kay, making sure he was well and not more injured than he let on, but she did notice the chiss taking out the angry nautolan. She clapped, for the one who had hurt her friend was down.

They were settling back down to end the night when a droid suddenly came onto the beach, projecting some message. She was scared and she hid herself against Kay. Nothing good came from unknown droids. She did not understand the message, something about a bounty theft? She did not know this Jato it referred too, but apparently the event or.. Meeting? Was to be held back on this ‘Jato’. Peoples who were part of this bounty theft was expected on this ‘Jato’. Kay insisted on staying and listening to the others for his dad. She knew if he told his dad, then he would know. They were always together.

They stayed, Kay gathering all the information he could, before they headed back.

The wine was absolutely terrible, she privately thought that Bari had a few bottles of the stuff and instead of dumping them, kept them for her to have one or two sips when her days were as bad as the wine. This particular vintage was nearly vile, and thinking about it perhaps the wine was worse than her day had been. Perfect.

On some level she understood why Ren left her and Par to work out their issues alone, she also understood that they had probably gotten as far as they could without further guidance from him. She also understood that she and Par had reached that point at different times, as well that their connections were different. Granted she had more trouble asking for help than Par did, thankfully she also was able to be directed and reassured by the smallest acts. Her Fisherman worked best on a micro level.

So coming to Jato she was already in a jangle even though she and Par were once again a united front. Her next worry? Would Rando step into what she felt was a trap, or would he stay away? She had not seen the droid or the message herself, but she had heard about it. As much as she wanted to see him, she hoped he would wisely stay far away from Jato. The practical side of her wish was granted, so reassured she headed up to the conference room.

Saltarkkata was there which was no surprise, the Wookiee stating that she would be there when they talked earlier. Eti also saw the 'angry Twi'Lek' Abi. Such designation pinned to the woman in her mind since the Anniversary Ball. There was a strange Chiss woman there that Eti later learned was named Kwait'era'nuroka, or Tera for those that could not sing it. She was happy to see Jeil and Jenn sitting in their chairs at the 'troublemaker table'. There was another stranger there that she did not get much of a reading off of, nor was their face exposed as the being kept on their helm. She did get the impression that they were male and in some way amused. Tsanthar was there which helped her confidence, she liked the Mandalorian, trusted him on an instinctive level. She had gotten a glimpse of Jegy, and there was as usual a good portion of Fate at their table.

Alifisno strolled in late, reaching the table in time for a bright flash to draw eyes upwards to the viewport. Those that knew older ships might have recognized the lines of a CR-92a through the layer of Old Republic Crimson paint. She did not, but the Nautolan did recognize the emotions that swirled around at the sight of it, trepidation, curiosity, speculation, bewilderment. Al himself seemed unfazed. No one answered her when she asked what type of ship it was.

A few minutes after it passed out of sight Megan hurried into the conference room, a tall droid in tow. The droid was called Pal by Megan and Alifisno, privately Eti dubbed it Mouthy and it swiftly earned her ire. She suspected that it had pegged her as an adversary too, granted Eti did spend a fair amount of time growling at the droid's comments about Rando, the group that had been held on Kessel, the New Republic. No, she did not like it at all.

Nor was she happy when during Megan's firm (desperate?) speech that Port Jato must remain neutral several battle droids filed into the room and took up positions around them. B-1's and B-2's, they only added to the tension in the room that Eti was reacting to. These droids were purchased as surplus using the funds from Security via the saved and discarded salaries of the previous team. These droids were the base of the new security team.

Megan informed them that the group that had been captured and kept on Kessel had also been shown to her and Al in videos and stills. She spent a moment each looking at Eti and Dino as she told them this. Dino blew smoke rings, Eti straightened up and returned the gaze. Megan tried to pin the start of the coming conflict on Rando, just as earlier someone tried to pin it on the Jedi that had not been seen since their capture, just as it was whispered that Aldara's shooting of the Imperial started it.

Eti was not fooled by this need to place blame. Both sides had been positioning since Endor to either regain, or keep, what power they had. In the case of the Imperials the Jato Mercs already knew there were deep fractures, and that those resulting factions were also jostling for position in what little hierarchy that was left. No, she was not going to accept, or condone, the placement of blame on a single person or group for the war they could sense was coming.

That firmly in mind her heart ached as she reminded Megan that Rando stole the Bounty, and she had to even define her comment. Eti knew people were listening, and watching her, but he had been very clear when he had talked to her about it. Megan's out was that he had taken the ship without permission, her task was to make sure that it was crystal that this was understood. Alifisno decreed that Rando was banned from Port Jato, but only for the moment. Megan made it clear that he was not to be harmed by anyone, until she had first crack at him.

The new ship was 'anonymously donated' along with Mouthy and dubbed the Untold Bounty Two. Eti had asked where it came from and Alifisno took a while to answer. She felt the approval of her guardians for the question.

Alifisno dismissed them with the comment that he and Megan would open the office for short, private discussions with those that needed to discuss their current and future employment on Jato. As Megan had pointed out before, anyone directly employed by Jato would have to remain absolutely neutral in any conflicts to come.

Ren met her outside of the door to the conference room with the hug and assurances that she so desperately needed. Part of being strong was knowing when you were weak. Part of being confident was knowing how thin a line one could balance upon. She soaked in his calm, requested the wine which made him chuckle a bit, and then explained she needed to talk to Megan and Al briefly.

The meeting was indeed brief. Eti collected a hug from Megan, gave her the wedding present she had been holding onto, explained her tattoo, and then secured a promise for a deeper conversation about her position on Jato. Eti was one of the few that held all three spots. Employee, Contract, Merc. Sorting that out could either be very easy, or extremely tricky.

Eti sat between her fathers and eyed the wine once more, then reached for her tea. The two men knew something they were not telling her, but for the moment she was willing to let the stress of the day go. Only then did she realize that there had not been a conversation about whatever mission they would be picking up in the next few days.

They met on Port Jato as a contingent, the Fate group, Aimi, Fou-Darr, Or'Dino, Ren, Par, herself. Mina would follow later. They sat scattered about the Atrium during Megan's second meeting about the station being neutral. Aimi and Fou on the center dais, the Zeltron having been selected to speak for the NR side probably via virtue Fate's size and involvement on the station.

For the Imperials, Allison, the Lady Paven, had a seat at the tables set up in the center. Other than the huge guard she brought with her Eti did not see any other people known to her as Zerek, however they had been extremely scarce on Jato for months. She supposed that this might change.

Megan stressed again that the station must remain neutral. Allison stated she, Zerek, would not bring the war there, but while she had some influence with other Imperial groups she could not guarantee their cooperation with such a rule. Further, if ordered to destroy the station, she would. Other than the thinly veiled threat Eti thought her speech reasonable. Her people would behave under orders, they would respond to threats against the station that did not compromise them against shared enemies, and she would try to get others that would reasonably fall under her purview to also follow the neutrality rule.

Eti could tell that Aimi was feeling stressed, unlike the soldiers under the command of Lady Paven, Fate was like herding cats with a laser pointer, it mostly worked, but there were often a couple strays. In general though, when they truly did need to align, they all did so, just in their own fashion. Nevertheless she too pledged that she would hold to the neutrality rule, but could only promise that her own people would be held accountable.

Megan accepted this, if the two larger groups followed, it was hoped that the other visitors would also adhere. Megan also reiterated Port Jato's new hiring rule. Direct employees could not claim alliance to any side, particularly Imperial or New Republic. Contractors were different as she had explained due to culpability rules. The overall body of Mercs also fell under this as they were technically contracted, and not a direct standing force for the station.

Eti was no longer a direct employee as she had told Megan that she could not in good conscious say that she would not choose a side, but Megan retained the rights to her contract as a Medic. Eti's pledge to Megan had not changed either, she would treat anyone that needed it, nor would she cause harm if she could help it.

The night ended with an invitation to have cake made by Megan, and drinks. Eti played her horn for a while, another woman, who said she was called Lefty, sang a song, and Megan's droid tried to give mating advice to a highly obnoxious male that Sepe kept flirting with. In all the night was strained, but not explosive. Eti overheard Allison telling Megan that this was so because of her overlarge guard and his weapon. The Nautolan privately disagreed, to her the large displays of force, Allison's and the station's, only contributed to the tension. What kept things calm was respect for Megan, Alifisno, and Port Jato itself.

Those at the meetings lately had been sparse, tonight was even lighter than usual. No Imperials, not even Al who had remained in the Mistell all evening. Only one stranger whose name she did not catch, a thin woman with short hair that sat on the far side and in the outer ring of seats. Megan, Mouthy, Tsanthar represented Jato, though Eti supposed the Mandalorian could be on contract. Her table held Sahir and Jenn in addition to herself. Parodan sat alone at Fate's usual spot, but was joined later by Renell.

This almost worried her more than when the Imperials were all over the place, but it also showed loyalty in her mind. Still she wished people would filter back in. Granted, Aimi and Fou were in parts unknown, Mina had a mission of her own, and she was unsure where Dino had gotten off too, but Fate was still there. She had even wore their colors for the meeting.

Megan started with explaining the new staffing. Thaytch Tsanthar was the new head of security. Jeil, Sarysi, and Tera were his direct reports. Also reporting to him was the new pilot, Jerlam. She had met Jerlam a week ago, the same night she met Tera. In the same line even. He had been a bit quiet, but seemed friendly enough and talked a slender, if solid, resume of ships he had flown. A veteran, but then few here were not in some way.

The battle droids around the station were under the control of Mouthy, Alifisno, and Megan. The droid gave Eti a snarky answer when she asked if they were set to stun as a primary, but when pushed Pal did confirm that they were except in sensitive areas. Eti did not bother to ask why not stun and capture everywhere. The droid itself was under the control of Alifisno and Megan. Eti thought she heard Sahir snort at that. Mouthy's primary function was as a bodyguard to the couple.

She and Doctor Sahir had both confirmed their contracts for medical services, this made her happy, she liked the Devornian, even when he was snarky, or cranky. He was willing to teach, he was honest where it counted and shrewd otherwise. Looking at him, then Jenn to her other side, Eti realized that of the friends she had probably readjusted the best after Kessel. She had near constant support and love, then and now, but they had not. Her family was willing to enfold Jenn and welcomed her whenever she was near, they offered to be an anchor for the struggling woman just by being there for her. What did Sahir have?

The bar was to be serviced by Bari, Wai, Cotan, and a new person, Dakota. Eti liked the odd man, he was funny, but not stupid.

Megan next went over a list if things that Aimi had left; fight nights, sabaac tourney, date baskets, Hondo, bacta. Eti mentioned that she could explain the date baskets, they had a couple fight nights, and that they had delivered the animals for Hondo. Megan said there was a note that there was additional work for Hondo needed. The Nautolan had to think a moment, then replied that maybe Mina knew more about that. Jenn made a comment that Hondo always wanted more work done.

Megan looked to Jenn about the bacta item on the list. Did they still want to do this, even with Rando not available? Jenn stated yes, why waste the work already started? Megan had nodded and said that a meeting would be set up with Jenn, Thaych, Alifisno, and herself in the near future. Eti was also still interested in the project, but deemed it wiser to not say so in front of Mouthy considering it probably gathered by now at least some of her loyalties. Jenn assured her later that she would be kept in the loop.

The final thing discussed in the meeting was a training exercise set for a few days hence. Pal called it a Close Quarters Combat Training and Teamwork Exercise. Parodan thought it was a fancy title for 'let's see what you can do so we can beat you at it'. Eti sent back that it was a common training thing, and really the mercs could probably use it. Medical was included in the drill after she pointed out that not everyone on the station shot things. This did earn her another comment about needing to learn something, to which she offered to club people with her horn if she absolutely had to.

The training evaluation was to take place on the station itself with some simulation on the UB2, as the new Bounty was being called. Mouthy was going to set it up, pure simulation it insisted, no actual intended harm to happen. When a combatant was tagged, they are to go down as either dead, or wounded. Eti supposed more rules would be forthcoming for those that showed up, but she looked forward to participating.
